It is October!!! and what better way to kick off this month is to book yourself and take a trip to the City of Smiles, Bacolod City. Situated on the northern corridor of Negros Occidental, this Ilonggo-tongued metropolis is filled with historical landmarks, nature havens and has a soft spot for sweet-tooths alike. Masskara Festival is celebrated every 3rd weekend of October, this merrymaking event create a sea of beaming smiles inundating the streets of Bacolod, to get a little bit of history of the festival, a period of economic crisis catapulted the said celebration to bring the spirits up of the Bacolodnon and the rest is history. As for my personal experience, I really enjoyed Masskara and Bacolod City in fact, I fell in love with the people and the city, one of the best places I visited so far.
