Revisiting Bislig

Bislig Baywalk

When I was young, my family used to frequent Bislig every year, its a about 6 hours away north east of Davao whether it's a Birthday, Christmas or Summer vacation, it has always been festive. I had a bag full of  naive memories of Bislig back in the days.

2011, Just this month, we were part of a so-called birthday surprise for my uncle and a chance to revisit the place where I used to call my second home. Excitement started to kicked in as we set about on another clannish fête.

My other concern was to catch a glimpse of a new Bislig, not long ago the roads were unpaved and transportation was a bit of bumpy and the prominent Bislig bridge straddles along the immense Bislig river was still unfinished.

I hope to see the best in the coming years of this rustic city of Bislig, anytime this lackluster, quaint place will transform into a tourist's paradise.  más por venir!Bislig.

Sidetrip: Lake 77

The sun is at its highest and the sky is at its bluest, the fluffy clouds mirrors in this vast body of water. Located in Brgy. Burbo-anan, Bislig City, before you reach the majestic Tinuy-an Falls, Lake 77 will take your breath away first. Established in 1977 ( Where the name of the lake is derived) This former reservoir of a defunct paper mill company now adding to the growing tourism industry of Bislig.

Dumaguete: A Gentle Respite

Last October 2012, I decided to make my first solo travel, I went to Dumaguete, a city situated southeastern tip in the island of Negros, before I embarked on that bold journey, I made a thorough research on what to-do's and where to-go's  known to many as the City of Gentle people, true enough people were really accommodating and warm I don't sense any intimidation to the people I met, one example will be the traveler's lodge that I stayed in, she just gave me a great discount if I am going to return along with my friends (wouldn't be that so perfect?!) Anyways, moving forward, I got a chance to cruise along the thoroughfares of the city.
