Enchanted River: Window To The Outside World

Imahe
It reminded me of the movie Leonardo DiCaprio's The Beach  and James Cameron's  Sanctum rolled into one. Approximately 15 kms away from the town proper of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It's a rough trip going and i really mean it. Secluded deep in the forest lies this stunning wonder in deep blue shade. Underneath this river is a partially explored cave system, the abyss is still considered unfathomable. legend has it that Enchanted river is a lagoon of fascination and a gateway from the world of supernatural , where the "encantos" can take a sneak peek from their world to ours. Feeding Frenzy Feeding Frenzy one of the climax of the stay is every twelve noon, a school of fish surface from below for feeding time while a hypnotic music is played in the background strictly no swimming during the stretch. If you were not that a fervent swimmer make sure to borrow a vest and be cautious since the current in the river is so strong that you will be carried aw

Tinuy-An Falls: Nature's Very Own Curtain

Imahe
It's been 10 years, since I first visited Tinuy-an Falls back then it was undeveloped, serene, virgin. but now people from different walks of life flocked to this very stunning work of nature, nestled deep in the forest of Surigao it was sculpted through times, Tinuy-Falls never fails to amaze me. 2nd to the last cascade before it's big drop "Tinuy-an" in Surigaonon dialect which means remote. 55 metres above the ground you will experience this mammoth splash, you need to get into a steep metal staircase first before you reach this zestful water wonderland.

Talikud Island: An Indelible Reverie

Imahe
Its 8 o’clock in the morning a pump boat docked in Sta Ana wharf patiently waited for us as well as the radiant smiles and fervent hugs by my relatives greeted us as we were reunited again. Together with my family and relatives we embarked in an island tour experience 1 specifically in Talikud Island . Angel's Cove First stop, the Angel's Cove according to the captain of the ship it is 15 feet deep, the stunning blue green waters lures us to jump and enjoys its ethereal charm. Babusanta Resort Second stop, the boat headed for Babusanta Resort for lunch. We shared delectable dishes prepared by my mom and aunts. A gastronomic banquet indeed! After we ate, we did some picture takings, bonding and we rest for awhile and savor the outlandish nature of Babusanta. I was really enthralled by the scenery offered by the place. Coral Garden Few minutes later we went back to the boat and set off in the equally ultramarine waters of the Coral Garden . Even kids can take

Steamy Day in Compostela Valley

Imahe
It is officially summer and one way to have a good time is to head off out of town. My family and I were first timers as local tourists in the Compostela Valley, and I heard terrific things about the place especially the capital town of Nabunturan; home of the mouth-watering bibingkas and the soothing nature springs. We traveled up north for about 2 to 3 hours from the Poblacion or the centre of the town wherein the pavements are well-cemented, we roved the tough roads of Brgy. Mainit for about 45 minutes and finally reached Toyuzu Mountain Resort nestled in the lush, green forest of Mainit Protected Area and Landscape. Before entering, you must pay an entrance fee of 50PHP/adult and 45PHP/child. From the gate we wind down a little further to the cottages and springs. Aside from cost-friendly cottages the resort comprises of lukewarm pools, cold water pools, hot water pools, sauna caves, private pools and a man-made waterfalls. Sauna caves are pretty interesting, as soon a

The Lighter Side of Samal

Imahe
--> Island Garden city of Samal , is one of the many tourist destinations of Davao region that frequent by both local and foreign tourists. Luxurious to chic to isolated to budget friendly resorts. Name it the island has it.  But as a middle class member of the society I can only afford to bring my family into convenient beach resorts. After all, I believe that spending quality time is more priceless than staying overnight alone in an expensive resort. Indeed, Samal island  is one big family wonderland for all walks of life. 10 minutes away north of Samal Barge in Barangay Caliclic is Isla Beach Resort. Upon entering you must pay a reasonable 20PHP and an environmental fee before you enjoy the sun and the shores of the resort. You can also observe big ships cruising in front of the beach. You can also camp around for overnight stay. The resort boosts with videoke corners you can sing your heart out and let emotions run in while enjoying the summer h
