Bacolod City: Multitude of Sugar and Smiles

Imahe
It is October!!! and what better way to kick off this month is to book yourself and take a trip to the City of Smiles, Bacolod  City. Situated on the northern corridor of Negros Occidental, this Ilonggo-tongued metropolis is filled with historical landmarks, nature havens and has a soft spot for sweet-tooths alike. Masskara Festival is celebrated every 3rd weekend of October, this merrymaking event create a sea of beaming smiles inundating the streets of Bacolod, to get a little bit of history of the festival, a period of economic crisis catapulted the said celebration to bring the spirits up of the Bacolodnon and the rest is history. As for my personal experience, I really enjoyed Masskara and Bacolod City in fact, I fell in love with the people and the city, one of the best places I visited so far. Your Bacolod experience or should I say the Negros Occidental will not been complete if you were not able to commune with nature in the  highl

My Sojourn To Siquijor

Imahe
Port of Siquijor History has it, the island of Siquijor was known as  Isla del Fuego (Island of Fire)  because of the swarm of fireflies that lit the twilight   but infamously notorious as Mystic Island owing to traditional healing and so called sorcery however , Siquijor has its own magical spell to entice its visitors; from antique churches, resplendent waterfalls, gorgeous beaches let alone the alluring cerulean waters.   Lazi Convent St. Isidore Church 1 st stop we went to the century old St. Isidore Convent and Church in Lazi, it is the largest convent in the Philippines, sauntering into its hallways felt like you were stepping back in time,  an architectural landmark located in the middle of the town,  the panoramic setting of the church felt like you were on movie scene of Twilight-series. Dumaguete: A Gentle Respite

Imahe
Last October 2012, I decided to make my first solo travel, I went to Dumaguete, a city situated southeastern tip in the island of Negros, before I embarked on that bold journey, I made a thorough research on what to-do's and where to-go's  known to many as the City of Gentle people, true enough people were really accommodating and warm I don't sense any intimidation to the people I met, one example will be the traveler's lodge that I stayed in, she just gave me a great discount if I am going to return along with my friends (wouldn't be that so perfect?!) Anyways, moving forward, I got a chance to cruise along the thoroughfares of the city. First stop, the Rizal Boulevard is said to be Jose Rizal's stopovers before ot headed to Dapitan, a lane of century old trees embellished the whole stretch where one can really enjoy the sea breeze and overlooking the island of Siquijor, within the boulevard you can find a strip of bars where you can a enjoy a bottle o

Gleaming Davao

Davao City has been known for almost 10 years in implementing the ban of using fireworks, as a matter of fact, Davao has been a model city of such distinction despite having no glittery fireworks coloring the night sky nonetheless, there are other places to go to enjoy the yuletide season, one of which the antique shop nestled in the bustling commercial center of Lanang called Mana Davao ; gigantic and towering Christmas garnitures embellishes the whole perimeter of the shop, one will really give a long glimpse or take a shoot of their cameras as it illuminates and be delighted by the beauty brought about by this man-made wonder. Happy Holidays!!! Not far from Mana de Davao there lies a new shopping mecca called SM Lanang Premier, the new mall brought a lot of first in the island of Mindanao, first IMAX theater, first SMX convention center and first Sky Garden, sophisticated environment-friendly area located at the facade of the mall.
