Bacolod City: Multitude of Sugar and Smiles

It is October!!! and what better way to kick off this month is to book yourself and take a trip to the City of Smiles, Bacolod  City. Situated on the northern corridor of Negros Occidental, this Ilonggo-tongued metropolis is filled with historical landmarks, nature havens and has a soft spot for sweet-tooths alike.

Masskara Festival is celebrated every 3rd weekend of October, this merrymaking event create a sea of beaming smiles inundating the streets of Bacolod, to get a little bit of history of the festival, a period of economic crisis catapulted the said celebration to bring the spirits up of the Bacolodnon and the rest is history. As for my personal experience, I really enjoyed Masskara and Bacolod City in fact, I fell in love with the people and the city, one of the best places I visited so far.

Your Bacolod experience or should I say the Negros Occidental will not been complete if you were not able to commune with nature in the  highlands of Murcia via Mambukal Resort, gushing cool streams and relaxing hot springs awaits to calm your stressed body and mind, step into World War-era through The Ruins in Talisay City. and best of all, don't forget to satisfy your sweet cravings and dropped to any Bacolod pastry stores and dig into Napoleones, Butterscotch and Piaya, I think this is all for now hopefully you can plan your itinerary, choose happiness and enjoy!!!!.
